Doppelganger — Instance Dungeon Event
Doppelganger is an instanced dungeon event where a small group of players (or solo) battle through waves of increasingly powerful cloned monsters. Unlike the open-map events (BC, DS, CC), Doppelganger runs in a private instance — your group only, no competition from others.

How to Enter
- Obtain a Doppelganger Invitation — Drops from monsters globally at low rates.
- Find the Doppelganger NPC in town.
- Enter the instance — Your private session begins immediately.
Gameplay
Doppelganger sends waves of doppelganger copies of classic MU monsters at you. Each wave is stronger than the last. You must survive and clear all waves to reach the final boss encounter.
- Clear each wave before the next spawns
- Final boss gives the best loot
- The instance closes after completion or if all players die
Rewards
- High-tier equipment drops from wave monsters
- Jewels of Bless, Soul, Chaos, and Life
- Doppelganger-specific items (varies by tier)
- Experience bonus
Tips
- Bring a healer — Multiple wave fights without breaks mean HP management is critical.
- Target the strongest monsters first — In later tiers, heavy-hitting mobs can wipe a group if left alive.
- Higher tiers = better loot — Enter the highest DG tier your level allows.
- Solo is possible — With strong gear, solo Doppelganger at appropriate tier yields excellent private loot.
